Our Highlights
LORD HANUMAN SCULPTURE LIMITED EDITION
Joining the ranks of the recently launched Princess Scheherazade and Athena is the wondrous Lord Hanuman, a pivotal figure from one of India's ancient epics, the Ramayana. Like the rest of Lladró's Hindu Sculptures, Lord Hanuman is given the full treatment of a garland with 112 white flowers, 166 green leaves, and 5 roses, all handcrafted petal by petal. Further ornate details of the crown, jewellery and his iconic gada (mace) pays tribute to Son of Vayu, God of the Wind. This limited edition sculpture will only be available in 499 numbered units.
HAN SOLO & R2-D2
Expanding its Star Wars Collection, Lladró introduces
Han Solo and
R2-D2. The unmistakable sarcastic expression and confident swagger of the likeness of actor Harrison Ford's character are eternalised in handmade porcelain. To accompany him, one of the well-loved characters, the quirky astromech droid
R2-D2 is completed with faithful touches of
metallic lustre.
KARABAKH HORSE SCULPTURE LIMITED EDITION
Known for their graceful, sure-footed and hardy nature, the pure-breed Karabakh Horse from the Azerbaijan nation joins the other majestic equine collection in Lladró's stable. This piece showcases the breed's dark copper brown fur and a recreation of its florally regal saddle finished with golden lustre, leather trims, and gold-plated brass accessories. This will be available in a limited 750 numbered pieces.
KOALA BLACK-GOLD LIMITED EDITION
Lladró's successful
Boldblack Collection now expands to include the pride and joy of Australia, our friendly marsupial, the
Koala! This animal is deeply significant to the First Nations because it symbolises wisdom and adaptation. It is also the totem for the conservation and respect for the environment. The gold lustre treatment is applied in a contemporary design on the
Koala's ears and the eucalyptus leaves. The
Koala will be available in only 1000 numbered units.
IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY
Representing an important Marian devotion is the
Immaculate Heart of Mary, an analagous veneration to the
Sacred Heart of Jesus. The modelling in matt white porcelain amplifies the serenity and peace on Mary's face. Her head is crowned with a golden halo, a sign of her holiness and purity. Her immaculate heart is adorned with over twenty handmade flowers and topped with a burning flame which represents her suffering for humanity and her eternal love for Jesus and God.
