A marine fantasy scene, in which two young mermaids ride in the depths of the sea on a conch shell drawn by two seahorses. The smaller mermaid carries a mandolin and the other an amphora. Highlights are the exquisitely delicate underwater vegetation: the fine corals, the colourful seaweed, ... made with the same technique as porcelain flowers. This is one of the few Lladró pieces whose subject matter requires such work, and on which Lladró artisans have taken such pains to create a masterpiece.
