DESCRIPTION
The Harcourt Empire champagne flute revisits the Harcourt collection’s regal architectural form.
Created in 1841, the Harcourt Empire is the oldest in the Baccarat archive and is reputed for its iconic design. The Harcourt Empire champagne flute shares the same structural outline as the Harcourt champagne flute, but adorned with exquisite golden embellishment. The flat cut pattern of the bowl has golden decorative shapes applied with a light hand, and a gilded ring around the rim. The geometric beveled stem remains classical, while the hexagonal foot is gold-trimmed around its perimeter. The Harcourt Empire collection, sparkling lucid crystal complemented by graceful gold, also includes a wine glass and highball. Baccarat's Rivoli stemware collection has gilded features as well.
Baccarat has stood at the forefront of French crystal artistry since 1764, when it was founded by royal decree in the village of Baccarat, Lorraine. From its origins in the village of Baccarat, every piece has been meticulously handcrafted in France, embodying clarity, brilliance, and timeless artistry. Known for its signature red crystal — tinted with 24-karat gold — and iconic designs like the Harcourt glass, Baccarat continues to illuminate the world’s most refined interiors. Today, it stands as a symbol of enduring elegance and exceptional craftsmanship, where tradition meets innovation in every detail.
