Lalique’s unique know-how covers various fields from crystal-making to jewellery and perfume.
With its line of home fragrances called "Voyage de Parfumeur", Lalique invites you to an olfactory journey through perfumery’s most beautiful ingredients and the world’s dream destinations.
Chili, La Paz – Bolivia Scented Candle is inspired by the mysterious lands of Bolivia, once part of the Ancient Inca Empire, believed to be the motherland of the chili pepper. This fiery fruit was revered in Inca mythology as Ayar-Uchu, or “Brother Chili Pepper,” one of the four brothers who emerged at the dawn of the Inca world, symbolising vitality, power, and mystique.
The fragrance takes you on an olfactory journey through Bolivia’s vast and untamed landscapes, capturing the sweet, pungent aroma of chili peppers. Tenderly smoky cedarwood notes and a gentle mineral-like accord of paprika surround the fiery chili, creating a composition that is both intriguing and sophisticated. Hints of bergamot add brightness at the top, while saffron enriches the heart with warmth, and musks and vanilla provide a lingering, comforting dry-down.
Lalique today is considered the jewel in the crown of the French glass and crystal industry since 1888 – a byword for excellence, a reputation earned through creating extraordinary pieces in crystal glass in its myriad variations. It is not for nothing that Lalique is also referred to as the ‘haute couture’ of crystal. Since 1922, every Lalique piece has been produced at their only factory, the Verrerie d'Alsace glassworks at Wingen-sur Moder, Alsace, in a French region with a strong historical glassmaking tradition.
