This little warrior is a perfect gift for the Children's Festival (Tango no Sekku), celebrated every 5 May in Japan to wish health and happiness to the youngest of the house. The figure, which, although depicting a child, represents the virtues of courage and determination that are celebrated in the festival, is made of black stoneware and decorated with enamels.
