Inspired by the most famous work of Viennese painter Gustav Klimt (1862-1918), this piece was made to mark the 150th anniversary of the artist's birth. Available in two versions, finished with matt and satin enamels or with Lladró's signature 24-karat gold lustre.
Klimt's painting, influenced by the symbolism and Art Nouveau movements of the late 19th and early 20th Century, stands out for its ornamental exuberance and sense of intimacy between the two figures. Lladró aim was to remain faithful to the spirit of the original by capturing the intimate and sculptural composition of the original with rich enamel details and the gold that was signature to Klimt's work.
