Comyns’ history encompasses decorative dressing tableware, elaborate centrepieces and interpretations of the work of eighteenth-century silversmith Paul de Lamerie. Its archive contains more than 35,000 historical moulds, tools, patterns and drawings. Together, they preserve generations of decisions about proportion, ornament and the possibilities of silver.
