African Savannah Wild Animals Sculpture
African Savannah Wild Animals Sculpture
DESCRIPTION
Sculpture in porcelain animals from African savannah, adult female elephant that guides her group through a long path with an iroko wooden base
As an African proverb says: If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go in company. When the dry season reaches the Savannah, the elephant females guide the herd on a thousand-year-old route in search of water. African Savannah is a masterpiece over one meter in length that stands out for its perfectly modelled shapes and the richness of textures that could only be achieved by the artists of Lladro. In their hands, porcelain is transformed into the elephant's rugged skin, into the giraffes' soft fur. A degree of realism is heightened by the realistic glossy finish, which accentuates each fold. A piece that tells us about the value of wisdom handed down from old to young, such as the heritage of conservation and respect for nature and the environment.
Lladró is the leader in luxury porcelain since 1953 and have developed proprietary processes that resulted in a wide range of products and styles that is unparalleled in the world of porcelain. The brand still makes every piece in their workshop in Valencia, Spain.
