Sydney’s only Baccarat destination. Discover the Éclat de Lumière Decanter, a sapphire-blue crystal masterpiece based on a 1908 design for a Maharaja.

An artistic decanter that sparkles beautifully, as if studded with sapphires. It concentrates the ultimate in advanced techniques: clear and blue two-layered crystal is molded, the outer blue layer is carved away leaving behind jewel-like grains, and meticulous cuts are applied to the inner clear layer. The stopper placed on top of the decanter is mouth-blown and shaped by an M.O.F. (Meilleur Ouvrier de France / Best Craftsman of France), and it too is completely covered with even finer cut decorations.

This decanter was recreated based on a table service made in 1908 by special order of Maharaja Jagatjit Singh. It is a dazzling masterpiece befitting this Maharaja, who loved French art and was also a famous collector of gems. It can truly be called a timeless masterpiece that only Baccarat could bring to life.
