DESCRIPTION
The original Médicis vase was created in 1909 for the International Exhibition of Eastern France. This re-issue is limited globally to only 18 numbered units.
An exceptional re-issue of one of the finest pieces from the Baccarat collection, the Medicis vase was created in 1909 for the International Exhibition of Eastern France. Crafted only by MOFs (France best craftsmen), this vase is a masterpiece representative of the history of Baccarat. Inspired by ancient Florentine marbles, this majestic creation is a reflection of the neoclassicism in vogue during the XIX century. The vase, in sublimely cut crystal, stands on a bronze base adorned with the claws of a lion. A brilliant creation in 18 pieces only, to allow top collectors to become part of the Baccarat legend.
Baccarat has stood at the forefront of French crystal artistry since 1764, when it was founded by royal decree in the village of Baccarat, Lorraine. From its origins in the village of Baccarat, every piece has been meticulously handcrafted in France, embodying clarity, brilliance, and timeless artistry. Known for its signature red crystal — tinted with 24-karat gold — and iconic designs like the Harcourt glass, Baccarat continues to illuminate the world’s most refined interiors. Today, it stands as a symbol of enduring elegance and exceptional craftsmanship, where tradition meets innovation in every detail.
