Lakshman, the Hindu prince known for his devotion to truth and justice, is, together with his brother Rama, Sita and Hanuman, one of the four characters in Rama Darbar, which represents the ideal of the happy family. In this matte white porcelain creation, Lakshman, the god who incarnates the fulfilment of duty and sacrifice, is portrayed with all his attributes: helmet, bow and arrows. Golden luster was chosen for the decoration, standing out against the white background and enhancing the sculptural and ornamental work of the piece.
