The ancient Egyptians believed the scarab was a symbol of good luck and rebirth.
They thought that the souls of the dead travelled to the Great Beyond and that the scarab, which represents the rising Sun, symbolized resurrection. Using the Ancient Egyptians as this inspiration, Lladró designers created this collection of jewelry with the scarab as an amulet of life and good luck. The scarabs in these earrings are made in glazed porcelain decorated in iridescent black. The metal parts of these stud earrings are gold-plated 925 sterling silver.
Lladró is the leader in luxury porcelain since 1953 and have developed proprietary processes that resulted in a wide range of products and styles that is unparalleled in the world of porcelain. The brand still makes every piece in their workshop in Valencia, Spain.
